ABOUT OUR CHARTERS
Our trips are approximately 4 to 5 hours including travel time.
It is a Minimum of 4 people, Max is 6 on our boat.
We can accommodate larger parties but you must call to book any trips over 6 people.
We do have a small boat that fishes with us but you must call us to book this boat. The smaller boat can accommodate 1-3 person charters.
CHARTER GUESTS
Every adult on the boat (16 and up) MUST have a Louisiana basic and salt water fishing license.
You can get this at Academy, Walmart or by calling Wildlife and Fisheries 1-888-765-2602 or at www.wf.louisiana.gov/
Any guest under the age of 16 MUST wear a life jacket at all times during the trip. If you have smaller children joining please bring their own life jackets to ensure they fit correctly.
*If you must reschedule please do so 10 days in advanced.
WEATHER
As we all know, weather plays an important part in fishing. As much as we would like to be able to go fishing the night of your scheduled charter we may have to reschedule your trip due to the weather.
We always watch the weather closely and if we feel it may be unsafe or that we might not be able to put you on the fish that night because of the weather then we will reschedule! I don’t want to waste your time or money if the conditions are not in our favor that night!
Once the boat leaves the dock, if the Captain determines that the conditions are not adequate, he may offer to discontinue the charter and reschedule. If this is the case, you will only be responsible for the deposit.
WE PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING
A ice chest with ice for the fish during your trip. We provide ALL the bows and equipment you will need for your bowfishing excursion! ( Please let us know in advanced if there will be any Left Handed shooters or Kids onboard so that we can have the bows set up for you before we get on the water, this will save time.)
There will be an instructional period on proper usage before we actually start bowfishing.
ITEMS YOU NEED TO BRING
Ice chest, (we recommend at least a 100qt or larger size ice chest with Ice so that you can bring your fish home) We do not clean your catch.
An ice chest with whatever you would like to drink during your trip. Food (snacks, sandwiches) You may get hungry as the night goes on.
ATTIRE
I would recommend wearing an old pair of jeans and a thin long sleeve shirt. If it is below 75 degrees I would bring a jacket to keep warm on the ride.
Remember it is always cooler on the water at night so bring very warm clothing during the winter months.
I would also recommend wearing tennis shoes and NOT Crocs or open toe shoes.
BOAT RULES
Though no one has been injured on any of our trips, we would like to keep it that way.
Please understand that a bow and arrow can inflict harm, ALWAYS point the bow and arrow outside of the boat and be mindful where the arrow tip is at all times. It is very sharp so it can penetrate the scales of the fish.
For some unknown reason if you happen to fall into the water while we are fishing, don’t panic just stand up. We normally fish in 2 feet of water or less.
When we travel from one spot to another, Please remove the arrow from the bow and remain seated until we let you know it is safe to get back on the bowfishing deck. We will either place the bow in the storage bin or if you hold it in your hand please make sure that the string is secured and can not come out of the reel bottle, as the string can get sucked in to the props and cause damage to the boat or possibly someone.
Avoid wearing loose objects such as hats, scarfs, glasses, etc. Storage is limited so only bring what you think you will need.
**The Captain has the right to sit anyone down and stop them from fishing if safety is compromised due to carelessness or drinking too much. If for some reason things get out of hand we will return to the dock and your trip will be over. There is NO refund if this would occur.
**Any damage done to the boat or any of our equipment due to carelessness or your personal items being unsecured will be the guest responsibilities!
Regardless of your ability to hit fish or not, know that it is difficult, but very rewarding when you do. We will help you with this while you are shooting. You may shoot at almost anything in the water EXCEPT stingrays, alligators, ducks, nutria, dolphins, or bass. If a redfish is too small or you think it is too small, DON’T shoot at them, they must be 16” or larger.
Finally, it is our job to make sure you are safe and have the most memorable night on the water shooting fish.
Don’t forget after your trip please share the photos you took with us on our Facebook and Instagram pages! Please leave us a review to let everyone else know the fun time to be had.
Thank You,
Captain Graylin Schultheis, Jr.
